Career Opportunity :: Field Engineer
Primary Function
Provide technical and administrative direction to field layout, surveying, and craft supervisory personnel. Document field conditions and completed work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer field layout and surveying activities. Includes planning, assigning work and monitoring employee performance
- Review and issue valid drawings and other engineering documents to field crew
- Insure all primary, secondary, and layout control data comply with engineering standards and are detailed for use by field personnel
- Issue, edit, and maintain all field engineering books, records, etc., according to project procedures
- Maintain control of all surveying equipment; insure proper care, calibration, documentation, etc., is maintained
Qualifications and Experience
- 4 year civil engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience, with a minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and/or surveying experience
- Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, surveying techniques and equipment, and design
