Unique Features:

  · New light rail tracks extend the existing
    system from Gateway Shopping Center/Delta
    Center area to the Intermodal Hub pedestrian
    plaza. The Intermodal Hub is the connection point
    for the Front Runner Commuter Rail (also a Stacy
    and Witbeck/Herzog project) and Amtrak.

  · Full reconstruction of street from building
    to building including new utilities; 1,700 lf of
    a 30-inch water line; 6,500 tf of paved track;
    3500 tf ballasted track ; 3 Each Station platforms.

  · Project also required rehabilitation of a 100
    year old 48-inch diameter brick arch sewer using
    a non-destructive technology called Cured-In-Place
    Pipe (CIPP). CIPP is installed in the existing
    sewer without any digging. The liner is made of
    polyester felt and thermosetting (heat activated)
    polyester resin. The final product resembles
    a PVC pipe.
